New and improved pen design for 2024

A trusted, corrosion-free pen for high-energy fish farming environments, the Triton 450 floating collar pen system is based on a tried and tested pipe floatation ring of 450mm diameter, and is available in circumference sizes from 100 to 180 metres.

Built with high-density polyethylene materials, the Triton 450 pen system is not only durable but also resistant to corrosion and wear. The floating collars are meticulously designed to withstand the challenges of high-energy fish farming environments, ensuring longevity and reliability on site.

For 2024, the Gael Force technical development team has introduced a series of improvements designed to help fish farmers remain as safe as possible, create ease of access to below-deck systems and simplify electrical connectivity around the pen.

Plug ‘n’ Play Handrail Electrical Distribution

  • Our new plug ‘n’ play handrail electrical connection has been designed for distribution of any electrical system around the pen, including winch systems.  The plug ‘n’ play approach allows the full system to be built and tested in our production facility before installation on the pen, meaning on-pen installation requires no electrical engineer.
  • Electrical terminations for the entire system are made in factory allowing all weatherproofing to be applied in clean factory conditions, and should any spares be required then these can be provided and easily replaced without the requirement for specialist personnel.

Tougher, safer and wider walkway

  • Enhanced deck width and length:
    • We have increased the width and length of our Triton 450 decks meaning there are fewer spaces in the walkway and it extends outboard of the outer flotation ring centre.  With the extra 100mm in length, we have reduced the gap between the deck and where boats tie up alongside, offering even more safety and stability for operators on the pen.
    • The aperture within the deck through which the winch rope passes has a radiused profile below to prevent the rope from deteriorating.

Strengthened deck for SeaQureLift winch

  • A frame reinforcement solution has been designed to improve winch stability on the Triton 450 deck under the heaviest of loads.

Two new options for deck hatches

  • Our new decking system offers two new hatch options. The smaller hatch is used in conjunction with the SeaQureLift winches.  A larger deck hatch is intended for more general access to bridle connection points.
  • For added safety, the hatches have been designed not to open beyond 90 degrees to ensure they cannot accidentally be left open, unintentionally leaving an opening in the walkway.

Key Points

  • The pen manufacturing process employs advanced butt fusion and electrofusion techniques, backed up by our unique SeaQureWeld quality assurance process to ensure precise control and reliability.
  • A flexible yet robust and durable polyethylene structure, built for challenging environments.
  • Both inner and outer rings are polystyrene filled for added security.
  • A heavy-duty moulded base unit.
  • Low maintenance design resistant to saltwater corrosion.
  • Heavy gauge handrail pipe used to resist deformation.
  • Incorporates a full slip-resistant, modular decking system compliant with current HSE guidelines.
  • Pens have a low environmental visual impact.
  • A range of customisation possibilities and accessories available upon request.
  • All pens supplied with an operator manual.
