Specialist manufacturing process
The PE floats are made from robust and durable High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), which is ideal for the demanding conditions found in offshore aquaculture. Featuring two unique injection moulded endcaps, the floats are manufactured using specialist butt fusion process and control techniques.
Convenient to transport
Owing to the compact nature of the mussel float, transportation of multiple floats on one lorry is very convenient and cost-effective with up to 180 x 2 metre floats being able to fit onto a single 40ft artic lorry.
Strength in connection
Pressure injection moulded-end cap ensures strong rope connection points and consistent 12mm wall thickness. Our specially machined PE pin design for fastener arrangement safely secures floats to mussel lines.
