Boatyard Services

From our purpose-built boatyard facilities on the West Coast of Scotland, our dedicated and highly skilled workforce has the capability and experience to provide a broad range of marine-related services including; fabrication, engineering, welding, painting, electrics, hydraulics, wet blasting, and steel repairs.
We take great pride in working in partnership with our customers to create and generate fleet maintenance schedules - always ensuring that we tie in with your own work plans or, for example, during fallow periods.
Repairs & Maintenance
Our expertise and a strong focus on working to industry standards are evident in the quality of our work.
We regularly work in close collaboration with the MCA, Mecal and Lloyds, undertaking repair works to hull structures and maintenance of ancillary equipment such as pumps, winches, deck cranes, and hydraulic installations.
We are highly proficient in all types of steel repairs including work on aquaculture service vessels and workboats, and steel feed barges.

Refurbishments & Alterations
Our skill set allows us to carry out refurbishment, alterations, or modifications in steel vessels and feed barges, and we can undertake major internal cabin outfits including furnishings and fittings, electrics, and plumbing.
Our team is motivated to produce a result which exceeds our customers’ requirements.
To achieve this, our team is engaged in a programme of continuous improvement.

Surface Coatings
We use wet-blast treatments to prepare corroded steel for surface coatings, a more environmentally friendly approach.
This system replaces dry-blast and ultra-high pressure water treatments and is safer, quieter, and less aggressive, resulting in a cleaner finish with no damage to adjoining areas.

On-site vessel inspections and repairs
As well as undertaking work at our boatyard, we are fully capable of offering our maintenance, repair, and refurb services on-site.
We are also fully capable of carrying out pre-MCA/Mecal inspections, out of water, to generate realistic scope of works.

Our Facilities
Our large undercover boatshed allows for a better quality of finish we can achieve in painting and enables us to be independent of weather conditions. Very large vessels or those requiring just a quick slip and re-launch can remain on the slipways outside our boatshed.
We have two slipways. Our main slipway can accommodate vessels up to 200 tons and our second slipway can accommodate vessels up to 40 tons. And where vessel repairs or inspections need to take place on-site, we will gladly travel to your vessel or barge location to carry out work.

Before and After
Earlier this year we carried out a full refurb of the vessel 'Lady Christine' for Scottish Sea Farms.
This being just one example of the quality, pride, and effort that our team puts into the work that they do.
